Smoky Tempeh Bacon

Let me start this recipe off by saying that yes, you can be vegan and eat your bacon too! By bacon I mean the smoky, crispy delicious varieties we can make at home, are minimally processed, don't contribute to animal suffering, heart disease and are non-carcinogenic! It's a win win win right?!

We can be so attached to some animal based foods, and the only reasons are habit, and the fact that they taste good. Bacon in particular is all about that crispy and chewy texture, the saltiness and of course the fat and smokiness. We can recreate all of these tastes and textures in a much healthier way that also protects our fellow beings and keeps our doctor wondering what on Earth happened to us that we never went back.

Vegan Banana Date Cinnamon Rolls

Valentine's Day is almost upon us, and with this occasion in mind I really wanted to create a recipe that was both heartwarming and perfect for serving to friends or your partner in crime. For me, there's nothing as fun or romantic as an amazing breakfast enjoyed together, and what a better way to celebrate than with the gooiest cinnamon rolls?! Banana date cinnamon rolls to be exact.

I'm nervous about sharing this one with you because Carlos has been telling all of our friends that out of all my recipes this is his number one favorite, so there's a lot of pressure to live up to every time I make it! It has never disappointed though, and now it's all yours for the taking and especially the sharing.

Tofu and Potato "Breakfast for Lunch" Burrito

This has to be one of my all-time favorite recipes. I always try to keep tortillas handy because I know I can whip this up in no time, and I always have tofu and potatoes in the house.

This is one of our quick fix recipes, meaning I try to show you how to make a delicious dish without the need to measure a single ingredient! This gives you so much freedom in the kitchen, and it's perfect for those very busy days in which you literally need to throw stuff together in a pan and go.

I got the idea for this dish because many moons ago, back in my meat eating days, I had a shawarma sandwich that had french fries inside the wrap along with the other ingredients. I can't even begin to describe how the textures complimented each other. This dish is 100 times better though. The contrast between the flavorful veggies, tofu and seasonings, not to mention those perfect skillet potatoes stuffed inside the soft tortillas, is simply a dream. If only you could serve it with guacamole... oh wait! Yup! It's absolutely heavenly, and one of my favorite recipes.

Oil Free Crispy Potatoes

Is it just me or does anyone else refuse to eat a burger without a side of fries? I just love them! The combination of a perfectly golden and crisp starchy potato with some ketchup. They really are the perfect side to any burger or sandwich, but the deep frying doesn't make it the healthiest of choices. Now don't get me wrong, I still indulge in traditional french fries every once in a while, but when you're trying to eat a bit healthier and still get your diner fix with a burger and fries combo, learning how to roast without oil can really be a lifesaver. That's exactly what I'm teaching you in today's video.

We're learning how to make delicious and very crispy potatoes, in the oven, and without any oil whatsoever. You won't believe how simple this is, and you still get to enjoy your side of "fries". Enjoy the video, recipe and printable below!
