This has been a wild ride, and we wanted to take you along some behind the scenes footage we shot while filming on location. This is just the first of many little glimpses that you'll get to enjoy while you wait for the launch of the course.

HUGE Announcement: The Top Secret Project We've been Working on for Ya!

The day that I've been hinting about endlessly has arrived! Long gone are the days in which I tease you mercilessly and tell you about how excited we are feeling about the top secret project we've been working on, or the time I showed you lots of pictures of all the fun we were having at a mystery house in the mountains, or the time I shared how I fell in love with Carlos even more over a wooden table in the middle of a mountain thanks to this little top secret thing we've been working on.

The wait is over my friends! At least the wait to share what it is we've been working on with blood sweat and tears over the past year.

Are you ready?!

Drumroll!

On Music, the Word Vegan, and the Things that Connect Us

If you follow us on instagram (@brownble), you probably saw a photo I posted last Sunday explaining why I had been a bit MIA. On the outside I was at the Mad Cool Music Festival in Madrid, but on the inside, I was in a much deeper and cooler place, where lots of magical things happened as we spent three days listening to music and taking it all in. It was so special that I just had to share it in today's episode which won't have our traditional written version, but which you can enjoy in full by hitting that play button above or listening on your favorite device via iTunes or Stitcher.

Although I'll be sharing lots of personal stories from these last three days and why music and concerts are such a big part of who we are, this episode is much more than just about the music. We'll be talking about the festival and the bands we saw and of course the amazing vegan food we had, but we'll also talk about the things that connect us all, what happens when 80,000 strangers are together with one shared love that links us together, why I've reached another level of zen and why Carlos is basically Yoda in a human suit (ok, Yoda in a hunky human suit). We'll also talk about the meaning of the word vegan, how the chorizo man turned into the vegan man this year, and how the world is slowly shifting to something new. We discuss community, Eddie Vedder's love song to the Chicago Cubs and so much more. I promise it all comes together in spite of this seeming like the craziest episode we've ever done. It's actually quite a simple one, and it's all about how music is my life, and one of those things that brings us all together.

Thanksgiving Stories, Lessons Learned and the Best Roasted Carrots and Green Beans!

As you know, Thanksgiving was last week, and we showered you with tips, videos, links, content, in all shapes and sizes, to help you plan and cook for the big event. What we haven't told you yet, are the secret adventures we went through on that day, why my dog almost gave me a heart attack, why two people cried at our Thanksgiving, the yummy menu, the decor, and the two quick sides I made that were out of this world and that I'll teach you how to make today. Of course, there will be tons of photos, not to mention our usual lessons learned so that our holiday dinners can run more smoothly in the coming weeks.

Let me start by saying this, I LOVE Thanksgiving, and I especially love to host it because then I get to think of the decor, setting the table, making my little menus and place cards. It's almost as fun as the cooking itself.

Vlog: Behind the Scenes of our FREE Vegan Breakfast and Brunch Classics Course!

As you've probably heard by now, we've created a brand new (and FREE!) online course, in which I teach you how to make breakfast and brunch classics, all in their vegan versions. This was a totally new and exciting adventure for us since it was the first individual course outside of our big kahuna, the online program.

This meant so many new challenges, a whole lot of getting organized, lots of recipe testing and so much we weren't even expecting, that we decided to make a little video showing you some behind the scenes action, of what goes on backstage at Brownble.

What I Eat in a Day, Weekday Edition!

Time for another little vlog! Yes I get to show you what I eat in a day, and yes, of course the dogs make their regular appearance! I recently showed you what I eat in a typical Saturday here, but a lot of you have asked me how I get organized with my meals during the week, when we're busier, our schedules are tighter and we don't have a lot of time for cooking.

What I Eat in a Day (Vegan)

I've gotten so many requests for this video I can´t even tell you. I think people are always curious when it comes to how to fill your plate when you eat a vegan diet and rightfully so. If you ate a meat centered diet before going vegan or if you still haven't made this change but are curious about making some more plant based dishes, it can seem like a head scratching moment when you open the fridge, look at your plate and have no idea what to make.

Although I'm constantly sharing some of our meals in the blog and podcast, I thought it was time to show you "a day in my eating life", only this time do it on video! What you'll get to see are the goodies we ate this past Saturday in which we also took a walk with the doggies, went to the farmer's market, did some grilling and of course ate delicious food and brought you along for the ride.

Our Thanksgiving, Behind the Scenes and Lessons Learned!

We're back! We took a little one week hiatus from the blog and podcast because we were soaking up the sun, and enjoying a little family reunion after almost 4 years without seeing each other. We went to Panama City and Playa Blanca in Panama, and you'll be hearing all about it soon, including of course an in depth post all about whether Panama is vegan friendly or not (cliff hanger!), which you'll get to read in a little guest article we'll be writing for The Nomadic Vegan. In the meantime though, I owed you our behind the scenes post and episode of our little vegan Thanksgiving. Although it feels like it was ages ago, it's actually perfect timing because the ideas I'll share with you, and the very important lesson I learned, will help you a ton if you're planning to host a vegan holiday dinner or lunch, and even if you're planning to take vegan options with you to your holiday gatherings. I sometimes call Thanksgiving the test run for Christmas, since I tend to experiment a bit more for T-day and have everything perfectly rehearsed for Christmas when we usually have more guests and more food will be served.
